jitterbug

therapy horse

Jitterbug is a striking palomino Quarter Horse with a story deeply tied to MCRC. Selected as a foal by our very own Jim Crawford, she was purchased specifically for the Center’s equine program. Born in 2008, Jitterbug spent her early years in training at various facilities before beginning her work as a therapy horse.

With bloodlines rooted in world champion barrel racing and the racetrack, Jitterbug’s first love has always been speed. But as she matured—and with the help of calm, consistent training—she has embraced a more peaceful role. Still, she carries just the right touch of “spice,” bringing both energy and heart to our equine therapy programs.
