Pete is a handsome red-and-white registered Paint Quarter Horse who came to us from New Mexico. Born in 2005, he joined the MCRC herd in the winter of 2023, generously donated by longtime supporters who had also entrusted us with another beloved (now retired) therapy horse, Nick.

Curious, opinionated, kind, and sensitive, Pete brings a unique personality to our programs. His willingness to work—combined with his strong opinions—adds an extra layer of challenge for some of our therapeutic riding students, helping them grow in confidence and skill. With his graceful movement and gentle spirit toward both people and horses, Pete has quickly become a treasured member of our therapy team.
