Sara was born and raised in Midland.  She attended Texas A&M University, where she majored in Special Education, and later earned her masters in Communication Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas.  Sara was inspired to become an speech-language pathologist after receiving speech therapy herself between the ages of 3 and 5.  During high school, Sara completed her Texas Scholar hours at MCRC and volunteered in the Dance Program.  It was an experience that deepened her love for the organization. She is thrilled to be back at MCRC, fulfilling a longtime dream of working here. Sara has a special passion for helping children with apraxia and speech sound disorders and loves partnering with families to help their children find their voices.

Sara is married to her high school sweetheart, Matt, and together they have two children, Sally June and Louie, along with an elderly chocolate lab named Patty. In her free time, Sara enjoys needlepointing, reading, and spending time with her children.
