Hippotherapy

Hippotherapy (“therapy on horseback”) is a physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy tool that provides children with disabilities a combination of movement and sensory stimulation that enables improved function in their environments: home, school, and community.

Therapeutic Riding

Children enrolled in therapeutic riding are often more advanced and do many of the exercises without a therapist leading the horse. Therapeutic Riding also focuses on how the child can benefit from equine tasks such as caring for and managing the horse with the ultimate goal of developing better functional skills for their day-to-day activities.
