We were honored to partner with Midlander Abraham “Abe” Bejil on his 240-mile ultra marathon in October in Moab, UT to raise money for MCRC.

Abe successfully completed the course in 99 hours and raised almost $12,000 for MCRC ! What an amazing and inspiring journey!

A message from Abe:

“Thank you to everyone who donated to this cause that has benefited MCRC so that they may continue to serve our community at no cost to the families! This race was so meaningful to me as it wasn't just for my own personal gain but also for those families in the Permian Basin that have children with special needs. Every time I experienced a low in the race, mostly at night-time, I thought of each child at MCRC and the adversities they face daily. Their determination to push past their daily struggles and challenges inspired me to push past mine!

The giving nature of our community never ceases to amazing me and this time was no different. So many people and organizations stepped up to lend a hand; to say we are blessed in West Texas is an understatement! God's blessings continue to shine on us all! Thank you from the depths of my heart and let's inspire others to spread positivity.”
