Jennifer Y. Austin, MS CCC/SLP is MCRC's Director of Speech Therapy. She grew up in Midland, and while in high school, she volunteered in the hippotherapy program at MCRC, which was the Cerebral Palsy Center at that time. She decided to pursue a degree with special needs children after her volunteer experience at the Center. She went to Texas A&M initially and transferred to Abilene Christian University and  received a BS in Communication Disorders and her MS in Speech Language Pathology from Texas Women’s University. She has been a Pediatric SLP since 1998. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys hanging out with her family and watching them grow and develop their passions during the teen and young adult years.  She has two daughters, Ansley and Charlotte, and three step-sons, Cole, Zane and Sawyer. She loves every part of her big and active family! In addition to what she does in her free time, she loves spending time with her amazing husband, Jon. Family is very important to Jennifer, which is why she appreciates working at MCRC because she loves to see kids and families lives changed for the better. She loves being a speech therapist not only is it her occupation, it is her ministry.
